I am only here to write about one thing- The Sausage Gravy! Holy mother of goodness. I have easily sent 10 people to this restaurant for that specific purpose and every single one of them has agreed with me. I could bathe in that stuff. I often get it to go and bring it home to mix with my own eggs in the morning. The rest of their food is pretty normal diner food but the sausage gravy is cray good. That is all.

Best breakfast and lunch place in West Chester. Fresh food, daily specials, excellent service. Same owner as Green Street Grill in Downingtown. What's good here? Everything!

I love dining here just as much as I do working here :) When you see a special that you might like , ORDER IT ! who knows when it will be available next. Odds are you will love it ! I would recommend this place to anyone ! Great for kids we serve Mickey Mouse pancakes and even better for adults ( short rib Benny's) ! Dine in or take out . You won't regret it :)

Definitely good food here. My friend and I have passed by it a million times since I moved to WC in July but we are always about an hour late and it's closed by the time we reach it. We were finally in town to go to the grower's market on Church Street yesterday and were able to get in to grab a bite to eat. This place is definitely worth coming to if you are craving some good old fashioned diner food. I would like to point out that I was rather boring. I got french toast. But I really love french toast, I find it to be one of the best diner items in the universe. Even better than pancakes. However, MSG doesn't really have french toast that speaks to me. It was decent, but I felt like it was just french toast I could have made at home. So I was a bit sad about that (I'm not looking for a fancy pants, huge menu of cheese cake encrusted, bacon smothered french toast--but just a little creativity, that's all!) I guess I was a little limited since I don't eat meat and the fabulous french toast has bacon on it. My friend got the MSG omelette. At one point we decided to make a trade between my french toast and her omelette. I kind of wish I had gotten the omelette. The balsamic vinegar made that amazing. Overall, it was a good experience and I'll probably be back at some point (when college is not in session. I can imagine this place is insane when classes at WCU start)!

I was traveling for business and found this place on Yelp. I had the chip beef on wheat bread and eggs on top. It was very good. The space is very tight, so if you want to sit at the bar it was immediately seating if not I heard it was about 15 minutes In Sunday the parking garage behind the diner is free and remember they only take cash. Finally I went for a 45 minute walk of the neighborhood after the meal and it was great. Worth a try.

The absolute best breakfast place around. If you give this location anything less than 4 stars, you probably only had a water. The staff is quick and efficient. In the 10 years I have been going to MSG, I have never left disappointed or with an empty stomach.

This place has some great food and a very cool vibe. It's a fun and colorful take on the traditional diner decor. As for the food, my buddy and I were both very satisfied. We both really dug the Andouille gravy and the omelette was delicious. Heck, even the scrapple was good. Not giving them a five because I reserve those for mindblowing meals. This was just a very good take on traditional American breakfast food. A solid choice all around. The wait staff was quick and friendly even though it was super crowded on a Sunday morning. Go and see for yourself, this place is great. Beware, their portions are massive.

FRENCH TOAST HEAVEN! Get the French toast. Just do it. We came in and it was super busy. The staff was friendly and I honestly didn't mind waiting. Their food is excellent. I love love love a good breakfast/brunch place and this is it!! I enjoyed my meal so much and I can not wait to come back again. Also, that cornbread?!?!? As a southern girl I just gotta say mmm mmm gooood!

Kerry the owner knows great food. His restaurants reflect that. Probably the best breakfast lunch place in west Chester . Very indicative of someone who knows what they're doing. Innovative menu not the usual breakfast fair. New twists on standards. Good vibe and a really well trained staff.

Came in after a redeye from Portland and this place held the promise of an omelette and coffee. Unfortunately they were out of the ingredients for the first omelette I ordered but there are lots of tasty options on the menu. I decided on a three egg sausage omelette with toast and hash Browns. The portion was hearty and delightful with a Chipotle source am that set the entire thing off. The coffee was also pretty decent. Our server was attentive and extremely apologetic over the substitution and surprisingly comped our meal for the inconvenience. Even with the mix up I would come back again for the food and great service. Our waitress also got some serious cool points for her Jimmmy Hendrix shirt.

Tried this place got breakfast recently. As we walked in carrying out Starbucks coffee, we noticed a sign in the front door informing all, " there is a $1.25 charge for people bringing in there own beverages"! So beware. Aside from that, the staff is friendly and the menu offers a number of choices for omelettes, French toast, etc. We opted for the Market Street Grill & Tuscany omelettes. Both were very good. We ended up trying their coffee since we were being charged anyway. Not so good. Why not provide Starbucks coffee as an option for people that like that bold taste?

For the love of god, just go and order the Bruno. You're welcome. Service was super casual and nice. I was expecting more of a restaurant, but it's more of a diner

  • Scott L.

Market Street Grill has that classic diner feel. We've never really had to wait for a table and the food always comes out pretty quickly. The food will not blow you away but they have interesting dishes that you wouldn't normally expect to find at this type of spot. Specials are always interesting. The pancakes are enormous. The food is very inexpensive as well. Just a nice, consistent restaurant to grab some coffee and a nice meal on the weekend. Nothing really special, but good nonetheless.

They have the best sausage gravy and biscuits I've ever had. Buuttt their breakfast prices are some of the highest I've ever seen at a casual breakfast place. My friends recommend some of the sandwiches here too.

Went for breakfast on Valentines day, it was crowded but worth the wait. Interior is nice, cool artwork and eclectic feel. I had stuffed french toast ( with cream cheese and strawberries) which was incredibly yummy. My fiance had eggs & bacon which he said were great as well. Kick ass coffee and super friendly service. Will definitely return!!

I moved to West Chester 3 years ago and I can say Market Street Grill is the best diner in the area. Their food is just AMAZING and they always have good specials going on. My only suggestion: be patient when you arrive. The place has a lot of success and its always packed. But it's totally worth the wait.

I've eaten here a couple of times hoping it will one day live up to its positive reviews. However, each time I leave disappointed. The food is good, not great. A little overpriced for what it is. With so many brunch places nearby, there are better options. The service could use a lot of improvement. The hostesses and servers seem inexperienced and rarely smile. They give the impression that the customers are inconveniencing them.

Some of the best I've ever had. As I was eating I started to feel like I could take over the world or run a third world country, it's that good.

After reading all the reviews, and being a big fan of breakfast, I had to try this place. Eggs Benedict is one of my favorite breakfast items. Their variation and versions of past time favorites are astounding. The coffee is also very good which is important to me in a breakfast spot. The only reason I rated this place 4-stars is because it can get a little crowded for such a small place on the weekend which can dampen the service. If you want a show while waiting for your delicious food, grab a chair near the breakfast bar. Just watching the cooks and the wait staff rush orders is an art in itself and a show!

We love coming to Market Street Grille. We look forward to bringing friends here. We have our favorite menu items when we go but always make an effort to try something new because we know it's going to be good! Highly suggest going!

We came here this past Sunday for brunch while traveling home back to NY. We had a party of four, and even though they were pretty busy, we were sat within 20 minutes which was awesome because we were starving. The grub-- HUGE points. I got a special, Monte Cristo with arugula, ham, strawberry jam, swiss, on french toast. It was insanely good and not nearly as heavy as I was expecting. Everyone at the table ordered something different and not a single person was unsatisfied. We all had leftovers to eat on the road because the portions are large. The service-- understandably kind of crappy. Lots of teenagers working there, but they seemed to have their stuff together mostly...service was just fairly slow when we asked for anything extra like hot sauce, condiments, etc. But they were really busy and our server was pretty friendly and not frustrated with us so no realy complaints here. Not a whole lot of points taken off for that. Perhaps they should just have more hands on deck during the weekends. Bottom line-- we will definitely go back if we are in the area. The food was out of this world good for the price we paid (expect about 12$ a person with coffee and drinks) and despite the service being a little crappy, it was worth it.

Delicious! Sorry we waited so long to give this place a try. Sat at the counter, there was a wait for a table. Small place so be ready for a wait. Food was piping hot, coffee was good & hot, service was attentive. Will be back.

Breakfast menu was huge and everything sounded amazing. I had the Tuscany omelet and even with eggs whites it was amazing. The server was really great and on point. For a large group of six hungry people after running a 5k race, everything including the price turned out to be great. I cant wait to go back and try something else on the amazing menu.

Love this place for brunch. We probably go here at least once a month - the wait can be long but totally worth it. We love the Izzy (grilled cheese/tomato eggs benedict).

  • Tara M.

Went here for breakfast. Busy place mostly kids from college. Very fast service. Waitress and every worker in there seemed very nice. Most of the waitress new people there (must be regulars). I got the Telly which is 3 eggs, peppers, onions, cheddar cheese and hash browns . Eggs scrambled and topped off with scrapple and andouille gravy. Which I wasnt sure if I we ould like the gravy so I got it on the side. The gravy was delicious and so was the whole thing. I definitely will return to try other things.

Love breakfast at this joint. They are usually packed if you show up peak hours on the weekend, but have been known to stay "open" later than the hours listed. Bruno Burrito is a delicious beast, well worth the calories and their bennies are something I have trouble coping with not having in my life. Friendly staff and environment, bright bold art on the walls. Service is always fast and nice. A little on the noisy side, but is understandable for the amount of service they pull and you can always hang around to get one of the walled in booth ifs it a problem for you. I give them a 5 because frankly, I've not had a bad experience and everything I've ever ordered has made me want to make love to my plate. Serious, if you live in town and haven't gone. You should. Also parking isn't terrible, side streets and a parking garage around the corner if you suck at parallel parking.

I've been here many many times in the past, but I've never gotten around to reviewing it. Today, this will change. I went to Market Street Grill on fathers day with... my father... and mom, and boyfriend. and his step-mom. We were prepared for combat as the place in theory should have been packed, but we were just ahead of the brunch rush, and only had to wait maybe 10 minutes for a 5 top. We were seated in a booth with a seat at the head of the table, and it actually worked out pretty ok. The beveled edge of the table led to me almost dropping my iced tea many many times, but that was my genius placement. Anyhoo, the food here is spectacular. On Sunday I had a Special- the texas french toast with almonds and granola, and nectarines. It was so sweet that I didn't even need syrup. The 'Texas Toast' was a bit thin, but the flavor was out of this world. Some other specials included waffle, egg, roasted red peppers, asparagus, pancetta and cheese sandwich. My boyfriends step-mom got it and it looked incredible. Usually, I stick to eggs when I come here... the Market Street Grill omelette is always amazing. The omelettes don't come with toast though, which is totally strange. You have to ask for it, but as long as you remember, they bring it... and it's free. Also great is the service. The waitresses keep the coffee full, and you never wait too long for food. My one issue is that they always try to take your plate before you're done eating... or before other people at your table are done. If there is no food left on my plate, please ask before you take it. Sometimes we share bites, and i may have given, but not yet received! Also, there have been times where they ask to take my plate... that has food on it, but I can't tell them not to because I'm chewing... a clear indicator that they should likely back off. You have to assume a defensive position around your plate at times. That is what accounts for the -1 star. I come here all the time though, and I will liekly come back soon. Great lil spot in West Chester.

This place is my go to Saturday or Sunday morning breakfast spot. After a night of drinking and questionable decisions, The Market street grill is an oasis of delicious food, attentive staff and a nice diner style environment. The Telly is quite possibly the best breakfast meal I have ever had. Definitely make MSG a part of your life.

Never let's us down. Always creative! Always reasonably priced. Always great service! We had a special this morning that included a pork-quinoa scrapple that was out of this world! Love it here.

  • Larry C.

If you're in West Chester and you want breakfast, this is the only place you should consider. They have several varieties of Eggs Bennedict and they're all fantastic. If you go from 8-10 in the day the place is packed, so I can only recommend going a little bit later unless you don't mind the wait. Wait service is alright, could be better, but I don't expect highly polished waiters and waitresses at a breakfast kinda place.

  • Amanda M.

Went here on a Saturday morning around 11... only had a fifteen minute wait and the place was packed! I got the Izzy with hash browns which was incredible! Two perfectly poached eggs on top of a tomato bacon grilled cheese? Yes please. I also got two biscuits on the side with andouille sausage gravy which was unbelievable. I could probably eat that gravy on anything it's so delicious. Staff was very friendly..definitely going back!

I had the BEST. EGGS BENEDICT. EVER!!! And I've had lots all over the U.S. it was called The Mainline. Poached eggs on cornbread, guacamole and Hollandaise sauce! A wonderful breakfast menu. Ask for waitress Jenna! An AWESOME server! Found - and fixed - the problem with our wobbly table.

  • Bill S.

Love this place!! Best breakfast around. Always good & interesting specials. Have had every benny on the menu at least once and hard to pick one favorite. Andouille sausage gravy is a must have. My favorite way is on C-Mac Eggs Benedict. Eggs benedict with scrapple and covered with andouille gravy! YUM!! Good coffee and great service. Often crowded on weekends but worth the wait. Only reason we aren't still here a few times a month is because sister restaurant (Green St. Grill in D'town) opened recently and is much closer to home.

Service was decent. However, the food was less than average and far over priced. Plenty of better places in the area.

Duck brunch was great, eggs lacked, sausage stunk. We were a party of 6, was told 20, waited 30 before we were offered a 2 and 4 person table near each other. Hungry, we agreed. Before we even got our drinks, another 6 was sat next to us, after us. I approached the host and got a hair twirling " we just go down the list", answer. On my way out, I told her her choice was poor. She then said "we'll they had a high chair, it was the only place I could put them". I'm a host, it was poor planning, and she was rude. Other then wearing what looks like pjs as clothes, the servers were ok. They lost all 6 of us as customers though.

As far as I'm concerned... this is the only place to get breakfast in West Chester You will absolutely never be disappointed at Market Street Grill. When you arrive here on a weekend, be prepared to wait for a while. Tables are at a premium, and everyone is a little cramped together, but if you don't have a particularly large personal bubble, the food will make you forget that you could reach over and give a high-five to the person next to you (by the way... seating at the bar is first-come, first-serve. If you don't mind bar stools, there's almost never a wait for bar seating...even on the busiest of days) Some things on the must try list include: Classic Eggs Benedict - you'll see a ton of other kinds of Benny on the menu, but they do nothing better than the classic... perfectly poached every time I'm gotten it French Toast - None of their fruit toppings taste like pie filling--thank god! Be prepared for a lot of sweetness, but the right kind--always fresh tasting. The Varrenti - a perfect selection of things that should always be put on a bagel. Perfect for smoked salmon lovers at the best price. Not the highest quality of salmon, but I promise you wont be disappointed. They even serve theirs with capers! Hash Browns - Never... I repeat, NEVER leave Market Street Grill without having an order of hash browns somewhere on the table. I always hate on hash browns, but Market Street Grill's taste like little potato clouds. Good coffee and delicious breakfast... cured every hangover I've ever had. Go once and be hooked forever. Can I go again tomorrow??

The PROS: great "gourmet-casual" menu great coffee great food -- Breakfast Quesadilla and the Telly were both outstanding decent service considering how busy they were fair pricing for the good-sized portions The CONS: horrible acoustics (don't go here if you're hungover) seating where you are on top of your neighbor, but this is typical of small diner/cafes the wait, which extends out into the uninsulated foyer/entrance = freezing a lot of clueless people who come in with baby carriers (no room!), herds of small children adding to the noise problem and unattended tweens (annoying) Needless to say from my rating, the food makes this place worth it.

Best Breakfast and coffee in the WC area. The family loves this place. Every weekend we attend the growers market we cycle between the many good restaurants in WC. They have some unique combinations like the Eggs Benedict "2 Poached Eggs and Avacado on Cornbread with Hollandaise". Usually packed in tight, prices a little high, so be friendly and patient and all will be fine. (If you are in a rush this place is not for you.) Good for that special Breakfast when you want to try and celebrate something special.

  • Callan W.

My friend in WC always raves about this place so when she invited us out for brunch, we were game. Went on a Saturday morn and there was no wait (yay). That quickly changed as we sat there eating....the early bird gets the pancakes! Our waitress was pleasant and got us all drinks. The coffee is solid here. Sometimes you never know what you are going to get. I found myself in a situation where I wanted too many things on the menu. This just means I will be back someday. The bf ordered french toast, me the breakfast burrito, my friend ordered the ridiculous french toast concoction with peanut butter and bacon, and her bf ordered a omelet that he designed. Our food came out quickly and was then quickly devoured. The potatoes that accompanied my meal were good. Generally I hate hash browns but these were tasty. The avocado in my burrito was so good and fresh. I will have to go back for their avocado benedict. The waitress took it upon herself to split the check to each couple, which made things so much easier! I only wish WC was not so far away.

Consistently good, fresh and interesting specials! Today Italian sausage , chicken provolone & asparagus wrap!! Genius!! Weekdays are busy but usually no wait time. Weekends are a different matter. In any event find the time to enjoy this place.

Hands down one of my favorite breakfast spots. Great service & great food! my staple meal is the BREAKFAST BURRITO with egg whites, avocado, tomato and extra pico de gallo. Add some shiracha to that and ur on ur way. It's so fresh and somehow it's at your table in a few minutes

Awesomeness. Walked in around 12 on a thursday, sat ourselves and waitress greeted us within a minute. Menu has breakfast and lunch options with a couple stand out choices like their take on huevos rancheros with andouille sausage, baked eggs and fresh pico de gallo or french toast with carmelized bananas and walnuts. Being the breakfast purist i am, i ordered the western style omelette with hashbrowns (extra crispy) and a side of scrapple. The miss's ordered the fig salad but was told they "havn't had figs in like 8 months." Still, the salad was great, fresh rasberries, goat cheese and mixed greens. My omellete was good, pico de gallo was fresh and the hashbrowns and scrapple came out nice and crispy. Service: Great Coffee: Ok Menu: Great Overall a awesome spot for breakfast or lunch in WC.

While driving to Lancaster, I wanted a little breakfast place with good reviews and stopped here because of Shawn S's review. West Chester is cute little town with a very particular personality. Parking is awkward in the morning. By awkward, I mean that there really isn't anywhere to park but the parking garage around the corner which is super cheap ($1 per half hour). The atmosphere inside didn't look how I would have imagined from the outside, but there was really attentive service (a blond waitress serving every table and doing it really well). I had an egg white omelet with cheese and spinach which came out faster than I could start this review on my Yelp application. Absolutely recommend, just be aware that you need to spend over $10 to put it on a card and because everything is so cheap, it is hard to do that.

Last night was New Years Eve and we danced and partied hard into the New Year. In the morning we went to Market Street Grill to get some breakfast, there were 8 of us and there was a wait, but it didn't even take 20 minutes. The place was quite packed and the modern art with homey decor gave it a comfortable feel. We looked over the menus and about half of us ended up getting Eggs Benedict, a few got the bruno burrito which looked delicious, and one of us got a singular monstrous pancake that looked great. I got "The Lew" and let it be known that I am a freakishly hard reviewer of anything Hollandaise or Benedict related. While I had gripes with the Hollandaise itself, everything else was great. The marinated skirt steak was tender, flavorful, and juicy while the egg was poached great and the muffin wasn't overly toasted. The Hollandaise lacked the acidity I was looking for, and its texture was too close to mayonnaise for me, but it did it's job in bringing everything together in a singular bite. But in this instance I wasn't here to be a cynical douche, I was here to be with friends over some good food, so more important than the sauce and the dish was the good time that was had by all, and to that I say the service was excellent. Our drinks were delivered promptly, the food came quickly, and we were checked on regularly. The mimosas helped a lot too, but over all it was a great breakfast and a great time, next time I'm back in PA I'll be back!

We came here on today (Sunday morning). The line was long, but the meal was well worth the wait. We had 3 different meals: 1. Texas French Toast Stuffed w/ Cream Cheese and Bananas 2. Bruno Burrito 3. Pop Greco's Creamed Chipped Beef Plus a bowl of fruit and some pork roll All three meals were delicious! We will come back again!

    (5)
  • Fritz N.

It's still GREAT. Breakfast specials are always interesting. I usually go with the Bruno burrito, but recently started on the chipped beef, which is, by far, the best I've ever had. Also had an oxtail special several weeks ago that was outrageously good. There is really no other place I would consider having breakfast in West Chester.

This is one of the best creative breakfast places that I have seen. The first time I went there I had the plate-sized pancake - pancakes as they should be! The andouille sausage gravy is very good as well. The second time I had the Bullotta - bacon & bananas sauteed with honey over thick french toast and topped with peanut butter. I absolutely loved it. My wife had the Pinky - eggs benedict with braised shortribs beef instead of canadian bacon. The beef was tender and piled high then topped with hollandaise. I will return to Market Street Grill anytime I am in the area.

Market Street Grill is the type of place that I pine over when I'm at home. I'm pretty sure that they serve lunch, but don't even think about getting lunch foods. Don't do it. Their breakfast is literally the best damn breakfast that you will ever taste in your life, or at least in West Chester. Everything on the breakfast menu is good. Keep an eye on the chalkboard in the back, they're always brewing up some crazy special that will most likely taste delicious (unless it involves mac n' cheese... gross mac n' cheese eggs benedict happened one, sad Sunday). My personal favorite is the classic eggs benedict or their omelette. Also, don't you dare leave without trying their hash browns. I despise hash browns, but theirs are like eating heaven. I could just eat their hash browns and leave happy. If you're a big pancake/french toast person.. that's good too, and the fruit fillings/sauces are not too sweet, which is a total deal breaker for me. the coffee is good. Never get the cappuccino... its some weird machine-made crap. The price is a little more than your average diner food, but I promise you... it's just what you want to eat on a Sunday morning. Don't go there on a hangover, because you will cry when you're too nauseous to eat the deliciousness that is the Market Street Grill breakfast expect a half hour wait... and wait, damn it. I mean it. CONCLUSION: the best breakfast, ever. Right in your campus's backyard. quality: awesome price: lunch-priced instead of diner-priced... deal with it. you won't be sorry

BEST BREAKFAST PLACE IN WEST CHESTER! Hands down. Very clean and gourmet diner menu. The food is really fantastic. The service is too - no matter how packed this place gets, you WILL get your food in 10 mins (or less). These guys figured out the formula for running a great eatery.

Make no mistake, the food here is awesome. Our only complaints are the service (friendly, but infrequent), the atmosphere (could use a facelift), and the fact that we complained about a certain product that fell on deaf ears more than once. The management would do well to step-up the efficiency and empower the staff to make customer service decisions. We will certainly be back... despite these few shortcomings, the food is worth it.

More of a diner than anything. Friendly staff, good place to get some eggs and toast. Other reviewers raved about the hash browns...No idea why, exact hash browns you would get at an diner. Good spot for the college kids, would never wait in line for a meal here.

If they were open later, we would eat here more often. You cannot beat MSG for breakfast in the area. They will make off menu items, such as breakfast sandwiches, but their many specials and eggs Benedict variations are delicious. The Izzy Benny (3 eggs) is my personal favorite: Eggs Benedict over a bacon tomato grilled cheese on sourdough.

Enjoyable Saturday brunch, had best seat in the house --- the booth next to the cashier. Terrific avocado benedict, home fries and the best french fries anywhere. Decent Greek omelette. Good attentive service. Fun, family atmosphere. Above average value for money. Fruit parfait looked very attractive as a desert. Would stop by any time I'm near West Chester.

Great food! Have had the pancakes (huge) and Brioche stuffed french toast (special) and it was awesome. Good service but a little cramped for all the people that eat there. Other than that, worth the trip!

Went in for brunch. There was a line at the door so we realized right away this place is popular. After waiting about 10 minutes we finally got a seat inside the cramped restaurant by the front window. My overall impression of the place is that it's a small old school diner that's somehow found it's way to stay in business through the 21st century in an age of chain store restaurants and the Panenra Breads and Corner Bakeries. The menu is fairly simple consisting of breakfast items like eggs steak beacon and breakfast burritos. We were pretty happy overall with what we ordered. The portions are good and prices reasonable. I don't know what the lunch and dinner menus look like so I can't comment. Overall it was a good if not overly exciting experience.

The first time I came here, it was still getting its foothold in the area. I just went back after two years today and it is now a fantastic place. I had a Bruno and it was hearty and fulfilling. Only complaint I have is that the coffee is watered down, which is usual fare for a diner, but this was particularly watery tasting. If diner coffee is the only gripe I can think of, then I feel they are doing a good job. It's nice to have another diner in walking distance of my house just in case the other is busy.

Pros: Avocado benedict is to die (as I see many Yelpers agree), fun pop art on the walls, nice general layout of the place, street parking is usually easy to find. Cons: Can get reaaally crowded at Sunday brunch, and there's barely any space in the front of the place to wait. If there's more than one party waiting, you're out of luck and in the way. Their credit card machine is also quite slow, which just adds to the glut of people standing by the door either waiting to pay or get seated.

First time here; these are my experiences for brunch... Toilet Water The worst possible water I have had ever in my life. I know this isn't superior New York tap, but this was barely drinkable. So was the coffee we ordered, which was essentially coffee flavored toilet water. I never ask for bottled but I was very close to purchasing one. Giant Condiment Basket This took up half of our table. Why did we need 30 creamers, 40 butter pats or 35 grape jellies? I have know idea, but at least it was there in case of a unbuttered toast emergency. Stuffed French Toast In the description it was supposedly made with Cinnamon swirl french toast stuffed with caramelized strawberries, walnuts and cream cheese.Well... WTF happened to the "stuffed" part? Moving past that, there was WAY too much strawberry syrup on the toast, it made the toast soggy and overly sweet. I did appreciate how they actually cooked the strawberries into the sauce, which made the berries soft and fun to eat. But what saved this dish with the nice giant piece of cream cheese they added. It was a cool, tart and creamy break from the starchy bread and insane sweetness of the sauce. I would get this again, but ask for the strawberry syrup on the side Corn Bennie This was an egg benedict, but made with cornbread, avocado, two poached eggs with hollandaise sauce and hash browns on the side. Holy flavor explosions in my mouth. The cornbread was crunchy, sweet and who new avocado would taste so awesome with it?? Creamy earthy goodness and perfectly ripened. The eggs were poached just right, but the winner was the hollandaise sauce. Velvety, and with a touch of garlic thrown into the flavor mix. Recommended. Check out pictures and more on my blog!

The food was so terrible that I literally couldn't eat it. Dangerously undercooked.

Best breakfast spot in West Chester. Get there early because it can get really crowded. The chef always has really creative specials. The Bruno burrito is spectacular! Try it!

Favorite breakfast place in town. Although it can be difficult to get a table on the weekends, it's worth the wait. I usually get the andouille sausage gravy with biscuits. It's unique but still classic. They also have interesting specials available. My husband and I have been here once for dinner over a year ago, but from what I remember the food was excellent and they had a great duck dish. Not sure if they still have dinner hours.

This place is awesome. The food is incredible, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the waitresses....oh my. They have very interesting specials on the weekends, but the Bruno Burrito is a staple of mine. The best breakfast place I have ever been to. Best for small groups (less than 4 ) as the place is pretty small.

By far the BEST breakfast I've EVER had!!!!! You MUST MUST MUST MUST try the Andoullie Sausage Gravy. Best item on the breakfast menu. Also for lunch, try the honey mustard chicken bacon cheddar tomato panini to DIE FOR!!!

Went here for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. and was a little dismayed by the small crowd of people waiting outside, but was actually able to get a table for two in less than 5 minutes (I guess bigger groups had to tough it out). There was also plenty of counter seating, which I would have been fine with taking if the wait for a table was longer. I wanted something creative and this definitely hit the spot. The corn bread and avocado "Bennie" was delicious -- perfectly runny poached eggs with yummy, slightly sweet corn bread instead of the usual English muffin. I could have done without the gobs of Hollandaise, especially since the avocado made it creamy (and fattening) enough, but I was able to scrape the bulk of it off, and it was really my fault for not requesting it on the side. Home fries were serviceable. The bite I tried of Mitchell K.'s breakfast quesadilla was tasty, and it didn't seem too greasy, which is what I don't love about quesadillas. The service was attentive considering the place seems run by college girls. I think we were checked on by pretty much every one that works there (which Mitchell K. certainly liked. I assured him it was because they thought he was so darn handsome). And they didn't rush us when we got the check, which I appreciated, even though the people waiting probably did not. Overall, a great breakfast experience -- probably in my Top 5. And I'm sure it beat eating at the Holiday Inn where we were staying.

We eat breakfast here almost every week... I can't say enough! it is awesome! great food, incredible service, reasonable prices... i like the Benny specials, but the breakfast quesadilla is AMAZING! I would say, get there early on the weekends, or have a seat at the bar. Had dinner here on Wednesday. AWESOME. I got a Strawberry Salad. PERFECT. not too much dressing, right about of strawberry's and nuts and cheese, OMG it was good! Gourmet high class quality, dinner prices! As for the Turkey Club... It's great! Good Turkey to letuce to tomato to bacon... toasted well... good mayo distrobution... except, it's cut into squares.... plus side, they are bite size... down side... Squares?

The food and service have always been phenomenal at Market Street. However, today's visit made it so we'll never be back. As our table was being cleared, the guy from the kitchen who was helping out the waitress said, "I see you left those fag*y tomatoes." Not a smart thing to say to a table of gays!!

Yum! Market Street Grill is perfect for breakfast! Their specials always look really interesting and appetizing, but I always go for their pancake- of which you really only need one because it is amazingly huge!!!

**2.5 stars is a more accurate rating based on my experience here.** I stopped by the Market Street Grill for lunch last week. The decor, and atmosphere made me pretty nervous right off the bat because it's very reminiscent of a dive-y, "greasy spoon" type of place. That said, I thought the "in-wall", booths that line one side of the dining room were an appealing idea. My companion, who'd had good experiences here before, told me to reserve judgement however, so I did. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with grilled onions. She got a pastrami reuben sandwich. We also shared an order of sweet potato fries. Our beverages were served in, shall we say, "not-so-gently used" plastic tumblers. Maybe I'm being elitist or something, but I find it a tad off-putting to drink out of something that looks like King Kong's, chew-toy. The food took a little while to arrive. When it did, our sandwiches were simply placed on the far edge of our otherwise empty plates. So much for presentation. I bit into my sandwich, and tasted a fairly run of the mill product. It wasn't bad. It covered the bases, so to speak, but it didn't bring anything new to the party either. The sauce had a decent spiciness to it though, which I appreciated. Her Reuben was better. It was a nice blend of classic flavors, but it too wasn't anything that made me say "I've gotta come back to the Market Street Grill for THIS sandwich again!". The fries were very good. Just the way I like sweet potato fries to be. Not soggy. Nicely crisp, with hot, yet soft insides. We both ate about half of our portions, and left feeling a little heavy. But then, we didn't exactly order health food. All in all, it was a fair experience. Based on other reviews, and word of mouth, I think I'll give the breakfast a shot on my next visit.

DH and i just got back from a breakfast repast at this establishment. We were both hungry after having a light repast last evening. (Too big a lunch yesterday.) Read good reviews of this place thought we would walk over and give it a try. Service was attentive, Waitress good but not a smile to be seen. Anyway I had "The Bruno" two fried eggs (fried rather much almost to the point of too much) with hash browns, cheese and andouille gravy all rolled into a wrap which was then lightly grilled. Flavor good, the anemic tomato slices on the plate could have been left aside. The DH had two plate sized crash mats (pancakes) which were pretty good the top one being a little over done the bottom one more tender served with warm syrup and lots of butter. He got a side of sausage. It was awful. I thought he was being a baby about it but I tried it also and it was very bad. Taste and texture. Mealy very fine texture, hot dog texture, grey with very little meat taste just greasy. That got left on the plate except for what he and I tasted.

Found on Yelp, reviews were good so checked it out. Great atmosphere, got a table in under 5 minutes on a Sunday morning. Food was great, hash browns were good, watch out for the coffee it is really good but very hot. Service was quick and waitress was attentive. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast.

My husband and I stopped by Market Street Grill this morning (a Saturday) mostly due to me hearing about their Corn Bread & Avocado Benedict. And man, was it worth checking out. The restaurant is small, the tables are small, and the seat-yourself thing is not immediately apparent. Our waiter was not super-friendly or nice, but he took our orders, refilled our drinks, and brought us our check, so he was doing his job. It was pretty busy, but the food came out within 10 minutes or so or ordering. The husband got a ham & provolone omelet with hash browns, and i got the aforementioned eggs benedict, also with hash browns. We agreed that these were the best cooked hash browns we had ever eaten at a restaurant - not burned, not oily, just delicious. The husband liked his omelet, I LOVED my eggs benedict (the cornbread is ridiculously good) and neither of us quite finished our meals. We would definitely return!

Yelp is usually a great place to go to find local places to eat when I'm out of town. The reviews of the Market Street Grill seemed outstanding. I walk in to find a lackluster menu, ordered a special and found it pretty gross (ruined my appetite), and then find the lovely and illegal "Minimum Credit Card Charge" sign posted when I go to pay.

Market Street Grill is pretty much my favorite place for brunch in West Chester these days. The restaurant is a really colorful little establishment across the street from the courthouse. Although it's open for breakfast, lunch & dinner, I've never made it there for anything other than breakfast (fair warning -- breakfast is only served until 11:30 on Saturdays!) The breakfast menu is nice -- an interesting selection of well-priced omelettes, stuffed french toast(!), and a very good breakfast burrito. They also have specials, which the chefs use to show off their creativity. On a recent weekend, I splurged and had the special caramel apple pancakes with peanut butter syrup, which were tasty and surprisingly not that heavy. In fact, the reasonable portion size (and correspondingly reasonable prices) is one of the main things I like about this place. The crowd consists primarily of hung-over WCU students, but there are a fair number of families and older people too. Bonus points for the altoid gum machine in the lobby so you can freshen up your breath on the way out.

First of all, the link for the website on the yelp page sent me to a xxx site. Second of all, I went for the Bruno burrito, which is a breakfast burrito stuffed with andouille sausage gravy, fried eggs, cheddar cheese and hash browns wrapped in a tortilla. All of their gravy is made with andouille, and it's all quite delicious. I loved the slices of tomato on the side, which is a Mexican touch. I never quite understood why, but I usually integrate them into my meal somehow. In this case, I simply sliced them up and mixed them in with the burrito fillings. I was a big fan of this, although it may be the most unhealthy breakfast burrito I have ever eaten. Eh, I am not too worried about it when it tastes this good.
